• In 2026, the MKLPA is launching a Natural Shorelines initiative for Lake Minocqua and Lake Kawaguesaga.

• Kawaguesaga is now listed as “Impaired/Poor” by the Wisconsin DNR and it will take 5–10 years to improve.

• DNR grants are available that provide funding to individual homeowners for restoring their shorelines.
